Stephenie

With all the distractions and toxins from the outside world, Stephenie utilizes yoga as a way to reconnect, renew, and recalibrate the mind, body, and spirit. Yoga has been a part of Stephenie’s life since 2008.

It all started as a general workout but quickly grew into a passion and lifestyle. This eventually led Stephenie to complete a 200 hour Vinyasa teacher training with Yoga to the People & 300 hour Alignment & Vinyasa teacher training with Laura Burkhart.

Leah believes yoga is for everybody and every body can do yoga. She is passionate about making yoga and wellness a welcoming and affirming space for all. Through her yoga offerings, she hopes participants stretch themselves--physically, mentally, and spiritually--while cultivating strength, compassion for, and connection with self and others. She believes the breath is the most important aspect of class and highly resonates with the yogic value of santosha.

Leah took her first yoga class in 2008 and started teaching in 2020 after completing her 200-hour training from Hot8Yoga. With over 20 years of teaching experience in the classroom, gym, and dance studio, transitioning to teaching yoga was a relatively smooth jump and fun, new community to join.

Leah looks forward to Saturday morning yoga with the great students at the MATS. Come join a Saturday class and connect with her on IG at @riseandshine.mvmt
